ARTISTS
“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” – Andy Warhol
ARTISTS.
How do artists develop their skills with confidence? This is the problem Art Concept magazine aims to solve. By showcasing artists works and starting conversations about the struggles we all face as artists and how we navigate our way through them, we hope to help artists find their own path to building their practice with confidence. This is why artists are the foundation of Art Concept Mag, they are the ones who breathe life into every issue, article, and story.
No matter the type of artist you are, your role as an artist is not an easy one to be tasked with. Art is how we define our culture and relate to one another on this giant rock that is hurling through space. Whether you are creating movements, challenging the norm, defining/exploring the idea of self, making beautiful things, or simply just creating, you are changing how others see the world in some way.
Art Concept Magazine aims to be not only a digital platform for showcasing artists and their stories but also an art piece itself; documenting the process of what it means to be an artist now.
“Art should be something that liberates your soul.” – Keith Haring
MADE FOR ARTISTS. Art Concept Magazine was created solely for artists. We want to create a community that not only creates but also educates. This magazine is for the amateurs AND the experienced.
Art Concept Magazine was founded by Caroline Japal in January of 2017. Caroline wanted a place where artists could share their struggles, express their creative ideas and share them with other creatives. She started ACM in hopes of finding other creatives that are also willing to collaborate and share in the creative process, while learning new skills and techniques. She wants ACM to be a safe space to learn, experiment and collaborate.
ACM is actively showcasing artists through its digital platform to accomplish the goal of engaging with artists to start conversations that lead to the further development of artists.

I feel as if for me the magic of comics lies in the story. The narrative is important because the stories we tell each other reflect who we are and what we value. Especially in today’s world, knowing who we are is important because it allows us to meet the unknown not with fear, but with hope and excitement because we know our story.
